On November 26,2016 at 3pm at the St John’s Latvian Lutheran Church(200 Balmoral Ave), an unusual hybrid chamber concert of classical and jazz music will be presented by Ilona Kudina (Latvia/USA), Maxim Lubarski (Ukraine/USA), and Juris Kenins (Latvia/Canada). All three are classically trained, but Ilona and Maxim also studied at the Berklee College of Jazz in Boston. Juris Kenins is the son of the Latvian composer Talivaldis Kenins and is very active in the Canadian and Latvian music scene in Toronto.

The composers that will be presented include Arvo Part (Estonia); Peteris Plakidis, Selga Mence, Peteris Vasks, and Viktors Ritovs (Latvia); Talivaldis Kenins and Dace Aperans (Canadian-Latvian); Peteris Aldins and Ilona Kudina (US-Latvian); and Nikolai Kapustin (Ukraine).

All Baltic and Ukranian music lovers are strongly encouraged to attend this unusual concert. Tickets at the door.
