Last Wednesday people gathered at Spirit Square to celebrate the opening of Spirit Square Park.
“Thank the folks who realized there was a piece of our history that we haven’t acknowledged and was missing and that was the Estonian influence on this community,” Mayor Sandra Harwood said. “Today we are here to honour that influence and thank them for providing Johan Pitka to us.”
