Embassy of the United States, Tallinn I applaud the quick and decisive action taken by Estonia and other countries in delivering aid and assistance to Haiti. As we are coming to learn of the full impact of this horrible tragedy, we are pulling together as a global community to help people in need.
Secretary Clinton is personally overseeing massive U.S. efforts in Haiti. Foreign Minister Paet, recently announcing immediate assistance to Haiti, mentioned "Estonia, like the entire international community, is with the guidance of the UN charting out what is needed and what needs to be done first to help Haiti and its people."
Estonia's instantaneous response, along with that of the United States and many other countries, is relieving suffering in the immediate aftermath and will help Haiti to recover.
