Games were played and strength, agility and balance put to the test on the eve of St. John's Day (jaanilaupäev) at the Eesti Vabaõhumuuseum (Open Air Museum) in Tallinn. A father's steady hands are invaluable when learning to walk on stilts(kargud). In the background, Mum is enjoying some grilled meat, which Estonians tend to call shashlõkk, from the Russian-Turkic word for such marinated, skewered, grilled meat.
