How is this article relevant to Estonians in Toronto?

I would assume that this quote from the article

"The issue, some educators say, is that schools especially in Toronto are located in densely populated neighbourhoods where residents park on the street. Parents are left to jostle for a spot at drop-off time",

and the fact that the Madison project parking is being debated among Toronto Estonians makes it relevant.

This was a tragic accident that happened when an unoccupied vehicle rolled into a child. Someone left their car in gear or neutral by the looks of it. This could have happened on a residential street, in a shopping centre parking lot, or in a driveway. Didn't one of the actors from the recent star trek movies die this way too?

However sad it is, it is not relevant to our discussions and I see it as just another attempt at trying to stir the pot.

This article should be removed.

Do not Estonians in Toronto have children of kindergarten age? News is news. Parochialism leads to questionable decisions.

This one tragic accident has no specific relevance to Madison project. But it highlights the dangers of dropping off kids in densely populated neighbourhoods where residents park on the street.

Madison project is located in densely populated neighbourhood where residents park on the street.

It highlights the importance of making sure your car is safely in park before exiting the vehicle. This accident could have happened anywhere. It could have happened in a rural community school with no traffic as well.

Should we start posting articles about electrical fires happening in old buildings as well? Its just as relevant.

Well, "article" if your electrical fire reference is to what happened at the Esto House, it had nothing to do with old wiring. As has been mentioned in the past, it was the result of sloppy workmanship on new wiring.
So let's keep the discussion relevant to the overall dangers of urban traffic and bad driving, especially in school zones.

Guess no one walks to school any more these days?

This is a FREAK ACCIDENT. Not at all relevant to this conversation. It could just as well have happened in the EM parking lot as on Madison Ave.

This happened in the suburbs compared to Madison Ave. The denser populated areas close to good transit are in fact often safer because people have other options besides the car, and are more accustomed to watching out for others who are not in vehicles.
