Huvitav artikkel Eesti Maja ajaloost.

I knew of Bach's, Helliwell's, and Laikve's work and reputation, and I'd heard adjectives to describe the singular beauty of the Scandinavian style, but it's a treat that Eda Sepp has done the research to put flesh on bones, and help us see what's actually there in the beauty that surrounds us at Toronto Eesti Maja. Not only the distinctive architectural heritage, but also the residing Estonian cultural heritage, which has driven decision-making, comes alive.

The pictures, too, are evocative. Who hasn't appreciated - rain or shine - the protective cover of the spacious overhanging roof, as they step out in the drive-by lane directly onto the welcoming entrance? We noticed the "inimsõbralikus" as we delivered our donations on a very rainy day for the bazaar. Someone was thinking here, and that thoughtfulness, evident everywhere, is what Eda gets across in her guided/curated tour of Eesti Maja.

A preliminary design sketch, published in the Vaba Eestlane newspaper and later in a book on Toronto Estonian House, is also interesting.

Man, what kind of medicinal weed are you on? And where can I get some?
