Correct but understated about countries near Russia: they'd had way too much Russian tyranny, for generations. They desperately wanted and needed NATO protection, and fortunately got it. They need it even more now.

Correct too about Russians strongly tending to blames others for their problems. Unfortunately this facilitates, and is facilitated by, their development this century into a gangster state.

This article is another hogwash attempt to spear Russia and trying to be western stooges. Everyday, we hear Russia did this, or that, or that, and every evil is Russia. As if if you have a diarrhea, you could point your fingers to Putin.

Putin is a thug. The Russian people deserve better but don't have the guts to stand up to another dictator.
The Russians are the ones with the trust issues. They had the opportunity to do well after the fall and yet they have backslid instead of moving on and joining the rest of us.
Now they are inciting their brand of war in as many places as they can.
Why would anyone show respect to people like that.
