Amidst public concerns about freedom of speech and channels of communication past and present, it is mind-boggling that there are Estonians in Canada who would vote for this man. What have they learned from the Estonian experience?

"What explains the outrage at the P.M.?". Consider this:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/busines...

But Frum writes: “As so often happens with anti-Harper invective, the accusation combines intense outrage against the man with gaseous vagueness about the man’s offenses. You’re supposed to just know. If you don’t already, it won’t be explained to you”. I challenge all to actually read the New York Times (NYT) article to which he refers, which is no longer than Frum’s, and to listen to the Galati videos. From the NYT article, make a concrete list of exactly what’s been destroyed in the Harper years.

Why is The Atlantic piece by Frum, an editor of The Atlantic and former spin doctor, reposted in EWR, and not the New York Times article it uses as a pretext for passing off spin as journalism? "Laurentian elites" indeed - does Frum think American or Canadian readers can be either so clueless or cynical about “what explains the outrage” at the P.M?

Harper is not “rule-abiding”. His government's actions have been in Canada successfully challenged in court, including his attempts to rig the Supreme Court. Like Putin, he counted on oil, now lies about the economy, and unscrupulously takes aim at enemies in order to cling to and grab more power. Look back over his longterm strategy and ask seriously whether it does not hark back to a time and an ethos Estonians jointly should understand. It undermines a democratic country’s ability to function.

It would be mind boggling if Estonians with practical experience in socialism and communism would vote for the Liberal or NDP alternatives. At least Harper stands against Russian influence in Estonia, against ISIL in Middle East and against spending my hard earned cash on nanny state programs.
Still Not Ready22 Aug 2015 12:50
If you believe anything the comes out of Harper's mouth, then I have some swampland in Florida for sale. Harper was not ready to govern 10 years ago, and heJ certainly is still not ready to govern.
