When I lived in Estonia, it was very hard to get used to the level of intolerance (actually, I never did get used to it) towards homos, blacks, jews etc. they pretty much tolerated none of them. Reminds me of the line in Dirty Harry who "hates 'em all". I think all that is changing but it's a slow process. I guess it's understandable to a degree but somewhat depressing all the same.
