It is only natural that those fighting for Estonia's independence against the Soviet invaders during the Second World War, albeit in the ranks of the German Army, be recognised as freedom fighters.

a g a i n s t the Soviet Union for their independence in the only army fighting the Soviets apart from the Finnish army.
They must n o t be identified as Nazi collaborators.

0Has any effort been made to identify Estonians in the German army that helped kill or deport Jews. My mother has told me how she and her mother tried to get food to jewish people that were being starved or frozen to death in outdoor prisons. It would be a shame to lump racist murderers with those that only sought a free and just society for Estonians, no matter their background.
