Emigrants are not refugees and refugees are not emigrants. Old KGB trick.

I think this Patriarh's motives are completely different to the previous one. I admire Kyrill's soft touch approach and effort the apply a more human face. It's a shame that for absolutely no reason whatsoever people still consider anything to do with Russia as being snide and sinister. I think in this case the problem lies with critics of his overt gesture and not with Kyrill himself. Estonia has shown itself to lag well behind the rest of Europe's positive stance towards Russia. I don't see any good in dragging the ball and chain as far as Russia is concerned.

Your comments range from the vacuous to the inane, as expected.
Why? In part, because you're stupid and, in part, because you're mentally troubled. Together, that makes for a sorry mix, concocted to provoke.
Christians of every faith should pray for your corroded soul.

Well I think there is still a reason why some would consider Russia as snide and sinister:

But there is one paragraph that sheds some interest from that article:

"Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says there can be no justification for the Soviet-era oppression that left millions dead at the hands of their own state. In a blog posting Friday, he said Russians must not forget the crimes of the Soviet era, and suggested young people were learning too much about the country's victories and not enough about the bloodbath that reached its peak under Josef Stalin."

Personally, I just see the above article and the one attached, as signs that Estonia should not jump on any pro-Ruskie french bandwagon just yet, while erring on the side of caution & not getting into a custody battle between EU and Russia.

Estonians have begun to welcome Russians to Tallinn for new-year celebrations. Russians are made welcome by friendly Estonians. Tourism is on the rise. Eventually Estonia will overcome its hatred of Russians because it sees sense in doing business with Russia. That may not be welcome news to some people, but you can't live life trying to please everyone, especially some people with a distinct dislike towards Russians.

Dislike of Russians (actually: communists) is understandable. Perhaps, it will pass.

What is incomprehensible is Maxim de la Trine's dislike of Estonians. Will that ever pass?

Mõne inimese kadedus ei tunne piire. See, et keegi õnnitles Eesti Presidenti oleks nagu ei tea missuguse surmanuhtlust nõutava teoga hakkama saanud. Ja siis veel kaagutab, et on uhke eestlane!
