After reading it twice, I concluded that this is an excellent article. Congratulations to the author and thanks to the editors.
I had to read it twice because its style leans to the academic and also betrays the author as a non-native speaker of English.
In its original Estonian, the article can be read here: www.icds.ee/index.php?id=73&am... ttnews[backPid]=142&cHash=09657ada50
It's a model of clarity. It also gives rise to a question: why not print it in Estonian?
We pride ourselves on our Estonian identity and that should involve some effort in improving our language skills.

It's only natural that that Paul Goble's articles should appear here in English because that's the language of the original composition. For the same reason, Elling's article should appear in Estonian.
