Rigorous plans are underway to salvage the USA's current economic dilemma, which is reaching astronomical proportions due the financial drain to assist the Iraqi war. It wouldn't be surprising if the USA were to accept a Russian proposition to accept material support in exchange for political concessions-including the Baltics. I don't think the time for such a move is far removed.

You are always good for a surprise, Maxim. Bizarre predictions based on "facts" from your weird imagination.

Let's wait and see. Maybe you could give us a few clues as to whether the US dollar is ever going to gain its former precedence as the world's no 1 currency, and if the US gets out of Iraq, how successful will it be in holding itself back from falling into a state of isolation from Global affairs? These are interesting questions. But I have the feeling your not willing to provide any answers, because you know that my theory holds a lot of water.

Sorry Maxim, the current economic woes of the US have little to do with the Iraq war.

The war is adding to the debt of the US which is a part of the problem but the bigger problem at the moment is the large number of sub-prime loans given to people with little or no income. On top of that the large amount of money that flows into China each and every day as the US buys cheap crap from them means that the USD will continue to drop until either:
a) China reforms their currency
b) USA stops buying crap

Not sure which one of those will occur first. :)

As for this article, I think I read a book similar to that awhile back. Very entertaining.

Many thanks for adding so much more light onto the subject. It was interesting and revealing reading your comments. Maxim.

Maximus, the scenario in the article sounds a lot like that of the book Civil War II.
