61st Annual Baltic Commemoration Event

The annual Commemoration ceremony in remembrance of the victims of deportations from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will be held on Sunday 16 June 2012.

The deportations occurred on the nights of 13th and 14th June 1941, where 60,000 Baltic people were deported to the artic regions of the Soviet Union.

This was followed by a second wave of deportations between 1944 and 1954 where approximately 10% of the population, some 605,000 people, were also deported from their homes.

Few of the deportees survived and were able to return to their homelands.

A Commemoration Wreath-laying, Service and Concert will be held at:
