55. Aasta Eesti Mängud Lakewoodis

Eesti Spordiliidu korraldusel peetakse Eesti Mängud Lakewoodis, NJ-s, 31. juulil - 2. augustil 2009. a. Mängude kava on järgmine:

Reedel, 31. juulil: kell 11:00 e.l. - Golfivôistlused 10-minutilise gruppide vahega Lakewood Country Club’is, www.thelakewoodcountryclub.com... , korraldavad Andrus Ers ja Eddie Tomson;

7:30 p.l. - Keeglimängu (bowling'u) vôistlused Brunswick Lakewood Lanes'is (732-364-8080), 101 Locust Street, Lakewood, NJ, korraldab Toomas Tomson (847-271-6426); 10:00 p.l. - Tants noortele DJ saatel Eesti Majas, korraldab Markus Maasikas.

Laupäeval, 1. augustil: kell 9:00 e.l. - Kergejôustikuvõistlused noortele ja masteritele Lakewood High School’i staadionil, 855 Somerset Ave (7th St. juures), korraldab Reino Truumees (201-274-4756);

10:45 e.l. - Tennis Pine Park’is Lakewood’i Country Club’i taga, korraldab Eric Pallop (609-658-3305); 12:30 p.l. - Ujumisvôistlused Ocean County YMCA’s, 1088 West Whitty Road, Toms River, NJ, 08755-3279 (732-341-9622), korraldab Carl Skonberg (201-891-5337); 1:30 p.l. - Võrkpall Eesti Maja platsil, korraldavad A.J. Laupa ja Carl-Erik Skonberg; 6:15 p.l. - Isiklik auhindade jagamine noortele;

7:15 p.l. - Defilee, üldauhindade jagamine parimatele sportlastele ja valguspidu Eric Pallop’i korraldusel: esinevad Long Island’i Lastekodu noored ja Chicago'st esineb Esmaspäev, jt. Sellele järgneb tants orkester Esmaspäeva saatel.

Pühapäeval, 2. augustil: Vôrkpall ja päevitamine Jenkinson'i rannas, Jenkinson South, Point Pleasant'is.

Sissepääs: reedel - $10.00; laupäeval: täiskasvanutele 18 a. + $23.00, noortele 0 - 5 a. vaba, noortele 6 - 12 a. $5.00, noortele 13 -17 a. $12.00 ja vanuritele 65 a. + $17.00; telgiplats - $25.00.

Golfimängu reservatsioone kuni 25. juulini võtavad vastu telefoni või e-posti teel korraldajad Andrus Ers (201-245-3556) ja Eddie Tomson (732-745-9264) enne 9:30 p.l., e-post ). Hinnad koos sôidukiga o! n $95.00. Teejuhised golfiväljakule: veebilehel www.thelakewoodcountryclub.com... .

Teejuhised ujumisele Ocean County YMCA’isse: Eesti majast väljudes sõita paremale mööda Cross St. 2,6 miili, seal keerata paremale Route 9 South’ile ja sõita 3,8 miili ning keerata vasakule West Whitty Rd’ile.

Teejuhised tenniseväljakule Pine Park’i: Lakewoodi Eesti Majast väljudes sõita 0,8 miili Lakewoodi poole, siis vasakule Miller Street’i mööda 0,9 miili ja keerata pool paremale Hope Chapel Rd/CR-639 peale ning sõita umbes 0,5. miili. Seal keerata vasakule Country Club Dr’i peale.

Key points in English from the LEM schedule above:

* golf is Friday and limited groups Saturday
* we have reserved all lanes at bowling alley for Friday night
* volleyball started up again last year with 5 teams - this year Latvians are expecting to field a team in addition to the Canadian and US Esto teams; contact AJ and Carl-Erik if interested
* tennis is at 10:45 Saturday - there shouldn't be any confusion this year, pre-register with Eric & come out & play. we will not have tennis if we don't have pre-registration.
* great band Esmaspaev performing at valguspidu and then playing dance music afterwards. Many of you know the band lead, Mehis Vahtra from Chicago (or from further back - Toronto)
* we need help from those staying overnight (some thru Monday) - bring cans/plastic wherever possible, clean-up your own area & treat property and others respectfully. there have been very serious discussions about closing the property sunday afternoon and with your help we can make a case for keeping property open. this is especially important to our Canadian friends who travel a long way to enjoy a long weekend.
